Ingredients

1 lemon
3/4 cup water
1 tablespoon sugar

Directions

  1. Begin by slicing your lemon crosswise into two halves.
  2. Take one half of the lemon and position it on the juicer. Apply pressure and twist it around to extract all the juice.
  3. Pour the freshly squeezed lemon juice into a glass.
  4. Follow this by adding approximately 3/4 cup of water to the glass.
  5. Incorporate a tablespoon of sugar into the mixture, stirring until it dissolves completely and combines evenly with the other ingredients.

Notes

Choose the Right Lemons: Opt for lemons that are ripe and heavy for their size. They'll yield more juice. The skin should be bright yellow, not green, and feel slightly soft when you squeeze it.

Room Temperature Lemons: Using room temperature lemons will make them easier to juice. If you only have refrigerated lemons, microwave them for about 10-20 seconds before juicing.

Roll Before Cutting: Roll your lemon on the countertop with a firm pressure before slicing it open. This helps break down the membranes inside the lemon and releases more juice.
